THE BLACK TURTLE THAT CURRIES
LUO SHU ON ITS BACK

According to the legend Xia Yu the tribe/empire leader after Fu Xi, witnessed a gigantic turtle, emerging from the river. In its shell he could see dots resembling the ones from the horse that Fu Xi, with the difference that these were colorful and in pairs.
The dots he saw were laid out like this:
And it was named Luo Shu, meaning map of the river. Its difference with He Tu is that the numbers/dots are not static. They flow in time in a circular motion despite that the shape of Luo Shu is a rectangle.
Luo Shu is also called the magic square, because no matter how you add its numbers (vertically, horizontally or diagonally) they always add up to 15.
He Tu represents the interaction between the natural human energies.
Hetu is the body/theory, Luo Shui s the application. Hetu is the natural strong healthy body (the foundation).
Luo Shu is the application the action, the movement, the properties, the abilities and the knowledge. It represents chi helping our energies, our jobs, in our relationships, in our lives. This is a very important diagram for the implementation and management of chi in feng shui. Application is more important than the body/theory. It helps us with its applications to have the desired successes in our lives.
